Toronto’s {Made} by Madrigal is the stuff my décor dreams are made of. This friendly husband and wife team, Yadder and Stacey Madrigal, run a beautiful store selling refinished vintage antiques as well as made-to-order and handcrafted pieces. Their style is bright and sunny and I’m always able to find the perfect accent for any room.
I stumbled upon this unmarked gem at 2828 Dundas Street West while visiting my sister in the Junction neighbourhood of Toronto. I instantly fell in love with all the colours. Erik and I had recently moved in together, and had not yet found much to make the place our own. We left with a pair of nifty mason jar lamps.
Since then, we always make sure to stop in and see what new treasures are in stock. We founds these rustic, repurposed wood shelves to embellish our small kitchen.
This cool pendant lamp always gets compliments from guests and gave our living room a much needed glow up.
And I simply adore this daily reminder by the front door:
Our favourite find though is this gothic armoire. We fell in love with it right away and I purchased it for Erik as a belated birthday gift. Not being from Toronto, the kind folks at {Made} by Madrigal kept it for a week when my sister had planned to make a trip home in her van and agreed to transport it for us. The Madrigals kept in touch with my sister during the week and helped her load the unit into the van. It’s perfect for Erik’s office.
Our little apartment is a far cry from being done decorating, but {Made} by Madrigal’s Instagram keeps providing us with helpful design inspo. I can’t wait for our next trip to Toronto to see what we bring home next! (One of the only things we like about Toronto.) Highly recommend making the trip if you’re in the six.
Shout out to the sister in Toronto!
